Inclusive and slow-paced Yoga Classes
I offer an inclusive and slow-paced hatha yoga practice, focused on mindful breathing in movement with little sprinkles of spice to discover that we are also stronger than we think! Meditation and final relaxation are the not-to-be-missed sweet spots.
As a teacher, I really work hard at fostering a diverse, non-dogmatic, nurturing and encouraging environment. I focus on inclusive yoga, free of competition and unachievable expectations. I am passionate about body positivity, respecting our true nature and making yoga accessible to all.
WHAT IS ‘SLOW YOGA’ ?
I am a big believer in the Slow Living movement that encourages us to live consciously & intentionally. The concept of ‘slow lifestyle’ started with the ‘slow food’ movement, which came as a reaction to the propagation of fast food all over the world and promoting home cooked and traditional food production. Yoga must not become a “fast food” fashion, something practised in pink lotus leggings, after drinking a hemp & chia seeds green smoothie. Anyone actually taking the time to study yoga knows that yoga does not require us to have a bendy body for an Instagram shot. Yoga is more than Asana, the physical practice.
Yoga like Slow Living is about learning how to live mindfully and getting in touch with our true self. It is about cultivating self-awareness and making conscious choices to better serve ourselves and others, ‘noticing’ and letting go of the excess ‘stuff’: material goods but also thoughts.
I love what international senior teacher J. Brown says “The concept of Slow Yoga is not just about the pace with which we move our bodies. It’s a question of purpose.“
YIN YOGA
If you want to take your Yoga even slower, then join me for one of my Yin Yoga classes. In a Yin class, we hold the postures for a longer time (between 3 and 5 minutes) looking to work on the connective tissues in the body : fascia, tendons and ligamentst. Yin yoga is based on Chinese Medicine and the Taoist concepts Wui Wei (action without intention) and Yin &Yang (opposite and complementary principles in nature).
YOUR ARE ‘ENOUGH’ JUST AS YOU ARE
Beginners are always welcome! Variations and modifications are offered throughout the class for you to respect your body and energy of the day and to cater to all levels. Just come as you are and with what showed up for you that day and hopefully I will offer you the space you need to ‘just be’.

INTEGRATIVE PRACTICE
Yoga is not what most people imagine. It is not only the postures (Asana), it is also the integration of breathing techniques (Pranayama), sound/singing (Mantra) and meditation. I try to incorporate all these elements in my teaching.
I have also studied Aromatherapy (Essential Oils) and Ayurveda that is the traditional Hindu system of medicine which is based on the idea that health and wellness depend on a delicate balance between the mind, body, and spirit and uses food, herbs and spices as well as everyday practices & routines.
I integrate my knowledge of Aromatherapy and Ayurveda globally in my practice as a yoga teacher, along with nutrition, meditation, breathing exercises (Pranayama) and good lifestyle routines (Sadhana).

I am a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT®) and Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher (RPYT®) with Yoga Alliance and Yoga Australia. I teach yoga as a volunteer in the community as well as regular classes and private students. Get in touch for more info on my schedule or private rates.
