A specific Yoga Class designed for Pregnancy
I specialised in Prenatal Yoga, yoga for pregnancy & birth as I truly believe that if there is one point in a woman’s life where yoga is an amazing tool, it is definitely this one. Whether she is feeling exhausted, anxious, sick, full of beans, energized or ecstatic, a woman is at her most vulnerable. It is a time where she needs to both nurture and let go of expectations.
Yoga can be a precious prenatal practice (and life-long tool!) to safely address the common aches & pains caused by all these body changes, to manage stress and the emotional ups & downs. We will be working on postures to help women feel strong and flexible, guided breathing and relaxation to help with sleep problems, exercises and visualisation for pain perception but also many postural tips and some homework to increase the chances of a shorter labour.
As a Doula (trained birth support companion), I always start the class with a women’s circle to share knowledge, experience and positive birth stories and weave useful information into the practice. I also attended a Spinning Babies® workshop in 2018 and integrate their principles in my preparation as much as I can.
Of course, no need to say that my golden rules of diversity, encouraging environment and body positivity (see my General Yoga page) apply 10 times more in this special and vulnerable time. I also integrate my knowledge of Ayurveda globally in my practice as a yoga teacher and as a Doula.
Recommendations: The best time to join this class is from 12 weeks onwards. Please communicate with your health care team before starting.

I am a Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher (RPYT®) and Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT®) with Yoga Alliance. I teach yoga as a volunteer in the community as well as regular classes and private students. Get in touch for more info on my schedule.
